It’s in Muurame (Finland), on the shore of lake Päijänne, that the wonderful Hideaway Glamping is tucked away. This brand new glamping site is characterized by majestic natural scenery, with islands and shores rising steeply from the depths of the lake.

Under the motto “less is more”, Hideaway Glamping offers nature seekers the opportunity to unwind in the middle of a breathtaking natural landscape, yet with many interesting places to visit in the close vicinity. The Team Behind
Raija and Hannu, the glamping site operators, had been living and working in the Helsinki region for many years and decided to move to Muurame – where they already had a summer cottage – just before the covid pandemic. Before her career as an executive coach, Raija worked in the travel business while Hannu made his career in aviation. The beauty of the location of their summer cottage together with their background in the travel business evoked many ideas on how to create a small scale, high-quality and sustainable travel business.
Spring 2022. Raija and Hannu visit the glamping site of Telttaillen Ltd, Autentic’s reseller in Finland giving them the final push to start their glamping business. They started with a Moss/Desert Autentic Total Patrol Tent, blending perfectly with the colours of their surroundings. They later added a tree tent to their glamping site and are currently building a sauna cottage.
Hideaway In The Total Patrol Tent
It’s on a raised wooden terrace that the Total Patrol Tent stands shining. High up there, you’re surrounded by the greenery and a wide breathtaking view on nature. This glamping tent consists of a 20m² tent, paired with a separate shade cover and a private terrace. The tent is cosily furnished with a fluffy double bed, a gas stove for colder nights, a fridge, a grill and cooking equipment on the terrace… Besides that, a shared camp fire and a gas grill are available on the domain as well as an outhouse toilet, an enjoyable Finnish sauna bath to warm up in the evening… Hideaway Glamping offers a numerous other extra services lifting your glamping getaway to an even higher level: luxury breakfast, massages, coachings in nature, a heated bath tub next to the lake, boat trips, hobby equipments for rent… Plenty of activities to spend the day and enjoy the wonderful location to the fullest.
